'There’s some pretty crazy brain research going on that suggests we might be able to do this at some point,' says social network's founder
Facebook users in the futures will share telepathic thoughts and feelings to each other, Mark Zuckerberg claims.
The social network's CEO made the statement in a live Q&A on his own Facebook page.
Mr Zuckerberg admitted managing how to transfer thoughts between users is "probably decades" away taking into account inevitable privacy concerns.
He said: "You’re going to just be able to capture a thought, what you’re thinking or feeling in kind of its ideal and perfect form in your head, and be able to share that with the world in a format where they can get that

The Q&A with Mr Zuckerberg was organised as part of a public demo of Facebook's new live video feature which allows any user to broadcast live video footage around the world by simply using their web cameras.
Facebook's founder said the feature originated with internal Q&As he had held with colleagues "for years".
In addition to discussing potential new Facebook features, Mr Zuckerberg spoke about the positive collective Facebook reaction to the Orlando shootings.
He called on people to think less in nations but as "citizens of a global community" using innovations in technology for progress
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld later "gate crashed" the Q&A where the pair discussed subjects from Mr Zuckerberg's broken arm, triathlon interests and his daughter, Maxima Chan.
