Tinder to cut out users under 18

Tinder is making a change by cutting all users under the age of 18.

The service is currently open to anyone 13 years or older, with age verified by a Facebook account but they have decided to up the entry age to 18. Tinder has said that the move will only remove about 3 percent of their total user base.

It also confirmed that users of a specific age were only ever matched with those in the same age bracket - given the lower limit of 13 this could still be a cause for concern.

Of course with Facebook being the only verification method being used, it won't be difficult at all for people to set up a new account with a different date of birth to continue using the app, something which Tinder isn't in a position to police.
